My Auto Biography

 When I associate web page and industrial design there is no way that I won't think of pages of materials. In this case I am talking about www.matrec.com, it is a website that collects information about various materials that have to do with sustainability, ecology, that come from renewable resources, or that are recyclable or degradable. In this website we have shown the different trends of materiality of objects in today's world, for example objects from the world of fashion or technology. It also shows notes from other creators/companies of serial objects that are in favour of environmentally friendly manufacturing. The interesting thing is that it has a catalogue of materials that has filters of all kinds to be able to find a material more easily, in the filters there are parameters of environmental certifications, types of finish, formats of the material, recommended applications, composition, methods of manufacture, etc. So if you are a person who works with materials, th...

  This is a picture of one of the oldest moments I remember. The picture was taken in May 2001 at Moises Mussa School, by the school photographer. That day I participated in a performance about the Combate naval de Iquique , where I had to play a sailor, it was very funny because my companions were with me and my mother had gone to see me perform with the rest of the parents, it was shocking that there were so many people watching us perform. After the event I met my mother, she was very happy. Then we waited to be photographed, then I remember going with my mother to the mall, she took me to see toys, and then we went to eat at the McDonald's, obviously a Cajita Feliz for me. It's not a very long memory but when I see that picture I'm transported to those little moments of the day when it was taken.

 My favorite piece of technology is the camera. I still remember when I was very young my uncle lent me his camera and I started taking pictures of all kinds of things. Since then I have always liked to capture moments, things, scenes of all kinds. I like the idea of being able to keep images that when you see them make you remember moments that are part of your life. On the other hand, it also taught me to observe my environment in a different way and to appreciate what surrounds me. When I think what would happen if cameras didn't exist, I wonder if the memories would be erased. Sometimes the mind is very fragile and discards memories, and if there is no photographic record, one would forget moments that have formed you as a person. my grandfather and me

When I was a kid, I really liked playing with toy cars, and then when I got my first video game console I wouldn't stop playing "need for speed", and I guess that's why I wanted to be a race car driver so badly. Well, during my life I liked many things and when I thought about what careers I would like to study I think about Architecture, audiovisual communication and Design, and it was this last one that I liked, because when I started to investigate I discovered that there were many areas of my interest where design was applied, so I was instantly interested. Now that I'm in the Design career I feel I chose the best for me, well, there are things I hate too but nothing that ruins what I think of the profession. I would like to work in the area of human comfort, such as in clothing, in an environment or in the things we use every day.

Hello, my name is Alen Rojas, i was born in 1995, on Valparaiso, but i moved to Rancagua few months later. I studied at Moises Mussa school and then at the Oscar Castro high school. I'm a third-year industrial design student, I have liked very much the career because it has served me to enhance my taste for the world of clothing and especially sneakers.
