Level 3, Pre-Intermediate, Post 3, 'Your favourite piece of technology'

 My favorite piece of technology is the camera. I still remember when I was very young my uncle lent me his camera and I started taking pictures of all kinds of things.

Since then I have always liked to capture moments, things, scenes of all kinds. I like the idea of being able to keep images that when you see them make you remember moments that are part of your life.

On the other hand, it also taught me to observe my environment in a different way and to appreciate what surrounds me.

When I think what would happen if cameras didn't exist, I wonder if the memories would be erased. Sometimes the mind is very fragile and discards memories, and if there is no photographic record, one would forget moments that have formed you as a person.
